Youthreach Resource Guide

Youthreach is committed to providing youth and their families with current and up to date information about relevant topics and ways to access immediate support. Please find below a list of current crisis and support services available in our area. 

Need Help Now: A website that helps teens stop the spread of sexual pictures or videos and provides support along the way. If you or someone you know has been negatively impacted by a self/peer exploitation incident, they are here to help offer guidance on the steps you can take to get through it. 

Kids Help Phone: A website that offers information about a wide range of issues effecting youth such as, mental health, sex, self-injury, self-care, bullying, friendships, body image and much more! Kids Help Phone also offers in real time crisis and counselling support. 

Cybertip.ca: If you have concerns about shared intimate images, online luring, and other areas involving youth victims under 18 on the internet, Cybertip.ca can help. Reach out through their online reporting form HERE.  

Bullying Canada: Bullying Canada provides a safe environment and supportive resources for youth affected by bullying. Learn more about what bullying is, how to get support, and how to help others who are being bullied.  

Love is Respect: A website with great information about healthy relationships, unhealthy relationships, personal safety, boundaries, sex and consent, and much more!

Suicide Crisis Hotline: If you are feeling like you have lost hope and are struggling to cope, if you are dealing with thoughts of suicide, or if you are worried about someone else, 9-8-8 is here for you. LGBT Youthline:  Confidential, non-judgmental, and informed free support through their  Ontario-wide 2SLGBTQ+ peer-support HelpLine. Text –Sunday to Friday from 4:00pm-9:30pm: 1-647-694-4275 or Online Chat – Sunday to Friday from 4:00pm-9:30pm by clicking HERE.    

The Sexual Assault Centre of Quinte and District (SACQD): Free, confidential, non-judgmental support for survivors of sexual violence. Talk -24/7 –1-877-544-6424 

One Stop Talk: For individuals up to 17 years of age, provide free one hour single session with registered therapist and optional referrals to ongoing mental health services.
