Program Goals
St. Leonard’s HPE housing loss prevention services exist to prevent youth in Hastings and Prince Edward counties from experiencing homelessness. By offering the necessary support services, education, connection and stability to prevent eviction, maintain financial security and promote independence, St. Leonard’s strives to enable youth to reach their fullest potential in their chosen communities.
Through our community integration services, youth who have stayed in St. Leonard’s HPE emergency and/or transitional housing program will continue to be supported as they take the next steps toward independence and leave the program home. Integration services are provided to promote sustainable independence, increase safety, and offer continuous support during a young person’s transition into adulthood.
Housing loss prevention and community integration services are available to youth between the ages of 15 and 24 and who are at risk of housing loss within Hastings and prince Edward counties.
Any agency or organization supporting eligible youth may make a referral with the youth seeking services present. Self-referrals are welcome
