Our emergency housing program provides an alternative to unsheltered homelessness for youth in Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
Program Details
Our six bed program offers emergency housing to youth who are without safe, alternative living arrangements and/or who are experiencing homelessness, located in Quinte West, Ontario. In addition to overnight sleeping accommodations in a private room, youth receive dinner, breakfast, a packed lunch, laundry services, access to technology and transportation to vital services each day of their stay.
Eligible youth may stay for up to 30 days will be supported by their assigned housing attainment case manager.
Program Goals
The goal of our emergency housing program is to provide youth, at risk or experiencing homelessness, with safe, comfortable living arrangements that meet their basic needs, coupled with intensive case management services.
This program has been developed to address and reduce youth homelessness in Hastings and prince Edward counties. As the first and only emergency housing service, tailored to the unique needs of adolescents and young adults, St. Leonard’s seeks to make an impact by providing safety, security and opportunity to our communities’ most vulnerable.
Emergency Housing services are available to youth between the ages of 15 and 24 and who are experiencing homelessness in Hastings and Prince Edward County.
All services are voluntary and youth participation is an on-going eligibility requirement.
Any agency or organization supporting eligible youth may make a referral with the youth seeking services present. Self-referrals are welcome.
Our team must speak directly to the individual seeking services in order to complete a referral/assessment for eligibility.
